Introduction: Osteocalcin (OC) is the noncollagenous protein of bone matrix produced by osteoblasts which play an important role in bone metabolism. In its carboxylated form (c-OC) osteocalcin binds to hydroxyapatite in bone and plays a regulatory role in bone formation and mineralization.
