Background: Biallelic pathogenic variants in ACP5, encoding tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase (TRAP), result in the immuno-osseous disorder spondyloenchondrodysplasia (SPENCD), characterized by metaphyseal dysplasia and a variety of autoimmune phenotypes, particularly systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).
